17A – Elevator Pitch No. 2

1)   The pitch.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oBE34-_OmY 2)  A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch.  The feedback that stood out to me as important was that fact that everyone that commented enjoyed the scenario that I gave in the beginning to help the listener visualize the experience and to convey the importance of the problem. Overall, the introduction was the main point of all the responses I received, and the comments I had about seemed hopeful about the idea of a new library, which boosted my confidence. These reactions were useful since they helped me determine what I should keep in my next elevator pitch and what to capitalize on. My roommate also gave me more feedback outside of blogger and told me that I should be standing and dress more professionally. 2)   What did you change, based on the feedback?         Based on the feedback I received, I included the same introd...

Customer Avatar Gender: Male Major: Finance Hobbies: Intramural Sports Involvement: Greek Life, AMA, Entrepreneurship Club, DM Car: Blue Volvo TV Shows: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones Favorite Movie: The Wolf of Wall Street Children: No Favorite Books: 7 Habits of Highly Effective people, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind Age: 20 What do I have in Common: One thing I have in common with my avatar is that I am 20 years old, a Business Major, and I think Wolf of Wallstreet is a really great movie. The avatar I was going for was one of the typical people I usually find at Library West. I chose the social, ambitious, highly invested Business majors who want to run Wallstreet one day. I see a wide spectrum of people in both Library West and Marston, however this is the first personality that came to my mind.

15A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

1)     For this assignment, I stuck with the segment of college students specifically at the University of Florida. This segment was made up of three students that I picked at random in my most difficult class this semester. Their names were Josh, Alex, and Celeste. Since they has a busy schedule with difficult classes such as mine, they spend a large portion of time on studying and being productive. They all shared the unmet need of frequently not being able to find enough space in the library. Interview #1- Josh ·        Alternative Evaluation o    As a third year University student, Josh primarily chooses from his set of alternatives when buying a product based off of price and efficiency/quality. Josh is a Finance student who is very organized and involved in many different organizations, jobs, and activities. He values his ability to be successful and he does not enjoy spending excessive money nonsensically. ·  ...

Halfway Reflection

Tenacity & Paying It Forward 1. Tenaciousness is a competency. One behavior I have used to keep up with this course is effective time management skills and proactive planning. I have planned out all of the requirements for the semester and allocated enough time to finish them early. This reflects tenaciousness exhibited by entrepreneurs because an idea must be improved consistently through thoughtful analysis in order to create a product that demonstrates your drive and passion. By planning out the requirements of the course, I am capable of consistently improving my ideas making my improvements meaningful.  2. Tenaciousness is also about attitude.  At one point, I considered giving up because I am unsure if the creation of an entirely new library is a feasible idea that important players would be interested in funding. What pulled me through this setback was the approval of all of the individuals that I interviewed, as well as the classmates in my group that exp...

Reading Reflection No. 1

Coco Chanel: An Intimate Life (by Lisa Chaney) 1) You read about an entrepreneur: ·        What surprised you the most? Upon reading about Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel, I was very surprised to learn a few things. To begin with, I was completely unaware that she was born and raised in world of poverty with a family that was disconnected and an unstable childhood. Additionally, the author Lisa Chaney explains that she was caught up in a world of drugs and affairs, habitually using morphine, experimenting with bisexuality, and having affairs with Salvador Dali and a German man who may have been a Nazi spy. This was shocking to me because Coco Chanel is known for being a symbol of wealth, luxury, and class. It is very unexpected that such an icon could have faced so many struggles and lived such a dark past. ·        What about the entrepreneur did you most admire? ...
